Creative Agency Generates $3000 to Provide Brighter Futures for Bay-Area Families

Tampa, Florida – May 29, 2008 – Roger West Creative and Code, an internet marketing and technology company located in Tampa, announced the final dollar amount earned during the second annual Tampa Bay Scramble Charity Golf Tournament. The hosting company raised $3000.00 during the event, which is nearly three-times the amount raised at last year’s event. Proceeds from the event will go to families in the Tampa Bay area through Project Brightside, a program funded by the United Way of Tampa Bay.

"We were thrilled that Roger West Creative and Code hosted the Tampa Bay Scramble. The resulting donation to United Way of Tampa Bay will help further our goal of advancing the common good in our community, and shows their willingness to support the place where we all live, work and play," says Karis Turner, Director of Leadership Initiatives with United Way of Tampa Bay.

In addition to the $3000, the event also generated over $15,000 worth of in-kind donations from various sponsors, including the Tampa Bay Business Journal, Advantage Indoor Advertising, Great Trip Tickets and others. “We have a lot of people to thank for this year’s tournament,” says Michael Westafer, CEO of Roger West Creative and Code. “We had a great team of volunteers and generous sponsors who helped make the event a successful one.”

The tournament was held at the Bardmoor Golf and Tennis Club in Largo, Florida on Saturday, May 16th, 2009. The 52 players participating in the event enjoyed an 18-hole course, hole-in-one, longest drive and closest to the pin contests, a BBQ dinner buffet, a raffle and great prizes including a Harley Davidson, LCD flat screens, golf foursomes at private clubs, putters, drivers, gift certificates and exclusive golf vacation packages.
